Hello Marshfield Pond Neighbors,
I hope you and yours are healthy and safe. Happy New Year!
We need your help. On December 24, 2020, at about 12:00 PM, Nicole Jackson at 7004 was in a small car accident in our private-drive. The car and driver that were seen recklessly driving in the private-drive, causing Nicole to be rear-ended, left the scene without stopping. Luckily no one was injured, but we need help identifying this car and driver. A police report has been filed with the possible plate number and a witness description. There is camera footage yet to be addressed, but please let us know if you have any further information.
“Hey Jen, we were just turning into our complex, and a younger guy driving a smaller car with the license plate number 619xyn I believe, was speeding on the wrong side of our entrance/exit road and we hit the brakes to avoid hitting him and we got rear ended.

Case # OD20014806. Dark gray Nissan. Guy was 20s or 30s, white

In light of this recent incident, I want to stress that it is your responsibility to well inform any visitors, renters, and household members to take extreme caution in our small private-drive. There are new children in the private-drive that play in the street, many people walk to get their mail, and residents pull up to the mailbox in their vehicles on the opposite side of the driving lane to retrieve their mail. All bushes and trees are in compliance with visual restrictions as the speed is set lower than street speeds.
The Minnesota State Statute Minn. Statute 169.14 categorizes our private-drive as an alley, and in ideal conditions, the speed limit is 10 mph. Our private-drive this time of year is not an ideal condition, and drivers should drive slower than 10 mph. These speed limits are not required to be posted, but a speed limit sign will be ordered and placed at our entrance as soon as possible.
DUE INCREASE for 2021
August 5th, 2019. The meeting minutes notice listed a yearly February dues increase. This year’s increase will be put on hold. Please pay the current rate for the year.

Thank you for your help,
